Art in the Park will be held in a new place and at a new time in 2008! This wonderful day in a garden setting filled with art will be held this year in early May at the historic Shinn House garden, 1251 Peralta Blvd., Fremont.
This event will be a joint effort of the FCAC,
the City of Fremont Park and Recreation Department,
the Mission Peak Heritage Foundation and the Niles
Art Walk. Local fine artists are invited to apply
for booth space free of charge, and we encourage
performers to apply for participation at this event.
Included in the festivities are a display of
wonderful arts and crafts for sale by local artists,
interactive activities for children and adults,
including hands-on art, fine art & historical craft
demonstrations, history tours of the Shinn House and
gardens, and silent film viewing. Admission to the
gardens surrounding the Shinn House are free of
charge for this event. Tours of the Shinn House
will be offered at a charge of only $4 for adults
and $2.50 for children ages 5 to 12.
